Japan is far from a country of excess, but every now and then, the country embraces all that is terribly good about Western ideology and it is our job at Axiom to pick up on these rare moments and share them with you! In the fair city of Nagoya is a beast of a burger, weighing in at a ridiculous 2.7kg and big enough to serve eight people.
Just in case your heart is still ticking, you get free potato wedges, which are so large they could be used as door stops, and a soft drink of your choice for each of the eight people stuffing their face. The burger is cut up and served like a birthday cake, which is, incidentally, how people from Dallas celebrate most national holidays. It takes no fewer than 64 cows to make the burger (they are dreadful cooks)! All joking aside, it is a cheap (450yen per person) and tasty treat, which you really should get round to trying. Check it out at Hoshigaoka Bowl in Nagoya…booking in advance is advisable as it understandably takes a while to prepare.Image may be NSFW.
